To begin, let’s start in FaxUtil Web.

To send a fax, click the New button from the FaxUtil Web toolbar. This will display the Fax Information page. Here, you will be required to enter the Name of the fax recipient, select the destination type, and enter the fax destination number.

Here, you can populate any fields that you want to show up on the fax coversheet such as:

  1. Voice Number
  2. Company
  3. City / State
  4. Alternate Fax Number
  5. Recipient Fax IDE

In the Cover Sheet panel, choose your cover sheet. If you would like to add notes to your cover sheet, you can add those in the provided field.

Next, you can add a document as an attachment to the fax via the Attachment panel.

Here you will be able to attach files one of two ways:

First, you can attach files from your computer in a supported format, such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint using the file button.

Finally, to attach frequently faxed documents, such as company literature, credit applications, or employment forms, you can use the Library Docs button. These files are stored in a library on the fax server in fax file format, so they don’t need to be converted to fax file format when they are sent.

Now, let’s take a look at the Options of the Fax Information Window. The most common task performed on this page is to send a fax with Certified Delivery.

Once all these steps have been completed, you can click the send button to send your fax.

Back in FaxUtil Web, you can track the progress and status of your fax. Faxes that have a Red Status, indicate that the fax has failed. Faxes with a Yellow status indicate that the fax has been tried, but did not complete and will retry, or that the fax needs attention. Faxes with a green status, indicate that your fax has been successfully sent.
